E-card Virus Alert

A new virus is spreading through email by masquerading as an electronic greeting card (Ecard). The email may have the subject, "You have got a new E-Card from your friend!" and can look like it was sent by someone you know or from a greeting card company (Hallmark, American Greetings). The email includes a link or contains an attachment. If you receive this email, delete it. Do not click on any links or open the attachment. If you have already opened such an attachment, your computer may be infected. Please contact the IT Helpdesk at 745-7000 or via online request at www.wku.edu/helpdesk.
