The Life Of Nelon

This is what i have. It is not finalized, but it's the idea.

Born and Raised in London, my father was a knight of Richard I or Lionheart to some of you. He taught me to fight will honor and vigilance. Gradually working my way up first as a page for Lionheart himself, then as a squire for my father, I became a knight by the age of 23. Shortly afterward, the Third Crusade began and I was sent off. The next 10 years of my life are hazy, a mixture of blood and blistering sun. When I came home from the Crusades, I was greeted with the death of my father. He had been killed 3 years after my leave by a group of assassins. I proceeded to Germany to get a break from the hurt of losing my father. It was here that I met Pier Gerlofs Donia. He became much like a father to me and taught me how to use his signature weapon, the Zweihänder. I spent 5 years with Pier and then moved back to London. Now, I am here with you today, fighting in this great war so that maybe I can have honor for my fallen father, as well as myself.

Yes, this stereotype didn't exist back then. But I think it'd be very entertaining to see on the field.

I was a knight, not a rich man. All that i had was what the king allowed me to have. Now I am a mercenary. I fight for my money and i always fight. I never quite have time for spending the money and only go to parties when there is someone to kill. I do not like the company of many strangers, that is why parties conflict with me.

A. If you survived service as a squire you were knighted at the age or 21, not 23, no exceptions.

B. Pier is French. Donia is traditionally Italian.

C. If you were a knight, you WERE a rich man, because you were a noble. So at least in comparison to the peasantry, you were wealthy.

D. Also, as a page and a squire etiquette, courtly manners, music, and dancing would have been key parts of your training, especially under such a master as the Lionheart and then your own father after him, seeing as how he was a prestigious enough noble and good enough fighter to serve directly under the crown. So, you would do quite well in social gatherings and similar situations, it was expected of you.

oh ya.....

E. The 3rd crusade lasted for 3 years, not 10. That's how long Richard reigned.

F. Considering the above fact, I'd have dad die a little sooner.
