My new persona is, if it wasn't obvious, Iosua MacFarlane. I am a Scottish Highlander of, you guessed it, Clan MacFarlane. I have no house allegiance, I am a mercenary for hire. I'll add more later, but right now its 4 in the morning and I'm fucking tired.

It's Gaelic actually, which was the Celtic language variant used by the Irish and the Scots. And if you really want to get down to it, the Scots were Irish, the Scoti tribe of the Ui Niell Dynasty, who migrated to and dominated the Isles and the Western Highlands of what is now Scotland for most of the 1st millennium. Until, in the 9th century, the King of Dal Riata (the name of the Scoti kingdom) Kenneth Mac Alpin, took the Scot and Pictish crowns, combining the two kingdoms, creating Alba a.k.a. Scotland, and driving out the Angles and Vikings of the eastern coast.

You've done your research. I'm impressed.

Why would I not know my own heritage? How can one go forward without first looking back? A man without a past is no one. Besides, I like having a persona that actually makes sense unlike some people.

A good persona is always very helpful. Hence why I'm still sort of working on mine.
