please don't mind my hair or appearance, this is the first thing i've done since i woke up, and i didn't get dressed for this, hakama are my pajama's. lol.

also, thanks to Nelon for giving me the core's, this is 1/3 done from what you gave me a while back.

But you do know that the amount of tape on a striking surface is suposta be kept to a minimum right? Its for good reason. Is that entire thing covered with cloth tape?

yes, cloth tape, totally legal. i've taken one like this before to bladestorm when they ran a beltaine a while back and they had no problem with it.

also, the cloth tape is only temporary, as soon as i can go to my moms and use her sewing machine it'll have a nice pretty cover.

But regardless, so long as it doesn't hit like a brink you can use it on our field.

its not as evil as my usual creations, the stab tip feels wonderful and it cant hit hard because of the quarter inch core and minimal amount of foam+small length.basically, it'll be fine.

I am now leaving to get some supplies to make Nelon a new toy. its 10:24am i expect to be back in around 30-45 minutes and then have the weapon completed by 12noon.
It will get it's own thread after i make up a name for it while im making it. If i name it at all. wish me luck, hope it doesn't hurt anyone too badly, ciao'.

i looked at it and im pretty sure what they mean is "tape should be kept to a minimum" is duct tape used to hold a cover together or something of that nature, to keep the weapon from looking trashy and unprofessional. using cloth tape however should count as the weapon being covered in "cloth" and there be a cover. i Believe that is why my last clothtape weapon was passed.

Cloth tape is built using fibers of cloth with adhesive on one side and unlike Duct, it doesnt have a surface that feels like plastic, thus making it softer.
