Well, practice is off again and im bored as hell.
My plan for this time is to go get some more supplies and make the most of my time by completing at least 2 more weapons today. Check back and see where my progress is!

The handle on that one looks kinda odd...Wouldnt a strike that was extended a bit too far possibly bend and break the hand guard?

not at all. trust me the way ive made handguards for the past 8 years has ser4ved me well, i've never had one even start to break. same for my weapons. they have never fallen apart or started to wear and tear, they simply fight till they core/snap by unfortunate accident.

Thats good...I cant make weapons for shit...How do you get the cylinder shape to actually stay in the way you did it?

lol. Quite true. I've only made one fluke weapon so far. It was a repair that went horribly wrong.

first weapon i made was a 4 foot "claymore" that was just core, funnoodle, no tape, glue, or pommel for that matter. Very very sad indeed.

It's easy, but a little tedious if you're just starting out. http://www.geddon.org/index.php/Category:How_to_build Lots and lots of instructions for building lots and lots of weapons. This is where how I am learning to build my stuff, as well as some trial and error.
